Drop Unlock

Build anticipation with countdown timers that reveal hidden content at a scheduled time.
What is a drop unlock block?
A drop unlock block hides content behind a countdown timer until a specific date and time you set. Before the unlock date, visitors see a ticking countdown. After the date arrives, the countdown disappears and the hidden content is revealed automatically.
It is a powerful way to build anticipation and give your audience a reason to come back.
Setting up a drop unlock
Click the + button in the builder and select Drop Unlock. You will configure these details:
- Unlock Date -- the exact date and time the content becomes visible.
- Countdown Title -- the heading shown while the countdown is running (e.g., "Coming Soon" or "New Drop in...").
- Countdown Description -- optional text displayed below the countdown to give visitors more context.
You will also add the items you want to reveal once the countdown ends -- these can be links, products, or coupons, just like any other block.
Locked vs. unlocked states
A drop unlock block has two distinct states:
Locked (before the unlock date)
Visitors see the countdown timer ticking down in days, hours, minutes, and seconds. The title and description you configured are displayed, but the actual content remains hidden. This creates a sense of anticipation and encourages visitors to return.
Unlocked (after the unlock date)
The countdown disappears and the hidden items are revealed. You can optionally set a different title and description for the unlocked state to announce the drop, celebrate the reveal, or provide additional context.
Choosing an unlock layout
When the content is revealed, you can choose how the items are displayed:
- List -- items appear in a vertical stack.
- Grid -- items appear in a two-column layout.
- Carousel -- items appear as swipeable horizontal cards.
When to use drop unlock
Drop unlock blocks are great for:
- Product launches -- build hype before a new product, collection, or release.
- Announcements -- count down to a big reveal, event, or milestone.
- Limited drops -- create urgency around time-sensitive content.
- Content releases -- tease an upcoming video, podcast episode, or article.
