Product Blocks

What is a product block?

A product block is a rich card that showcases an item you want to sell or recommend. It displays a product image, name, price, and a link to purchase -- everything a visitor needs to decide and buy, right from your Surface page.

Adding a product block

Click the + button in the builder and select Product. Fill in the details:

• Title -- the product name.
• Image URL -- a link to the product photo. This image is displayed prominently on the card.
• Price -- the item price and currency. Surface formats this automatically for your visitors.
• URL -- the link where visitors can purchase or learn more.

If you do not have a product image, Surface will fall back to displaying an icon instead.

How product blocks display

Product blocks appear as visual cards on your page, giving visitors a richer experience than a plain link. They see the product image, the name, and the price at a glance. Tapping the card opens the product link so visitors can make a purchase.

This visual format catches attention and gives your audience the information they need to act without leaving your page first.

When to use product blocks

Product blocks are a good fit for:

• Your own merchandise -- showcase items from your store directly on your bio page.
• Affiliate products -- recommend products you use and earn commissions through affiliate links.
• Digital products -- promote courses, ebooks, presets, templates, or any digital download.
• Curated picks -- share a collection of your favorite products with your audience.

Tips for effective product blocks

• Use high-quality images. A clear product photo makes a bigger impact than a generic icon.
• Keep titles concise. Visitors should understand what the product is at a glance.
• Include accurate prices. Showing the price upfront sets expectations and builds trust.
• Combine with grid layout. Product blocks look especially good in a two-column grid when you have multiple items to showcase.
