Publishing Your Page

Last updated February 28, 2026

Publish your Surface page, share your link, and keep your page up to date.

Publish your page

When you are happy with how your page looks in the builder, click the Publish button. That is it -- your page is now live and accessible to anyone with the link.

Your published page lives at:

surface.so/u/yourhandle

Publishing usually takes just a second. Once it is complete, you can visit the URL yourself to see exactly what your visitors will see.

Now that your page is live, share it everywhere:

  • Social media bios -- replace scattered links with your single Surface URL.
  • Email signatures -- add your Surface link so every email you send points people to your page.
  • Messaging apps -- drop the link in any conversation to share everything at once.
  • QR codes -- generate a QR code from your Surface URL for print materials, business cards, or event signage.

The same link works every time, even as you update your page with new content.

Update and re-publish

Your page is not frozen after the first publish. To make changes:

  1. Open the builder and edit your blocks, add new ones, or rearrange your layout.
  2. Click Publish again to push your updates live.

Your visitors will see the new version immediately after you re-publish.

Preview vs. published

This is an important distinction: changes you make in the builder are not visible to your visitors until you publish. You can freely experiment, rearrange blocks, and test new content in the builder without affecting your live page.

Think of the builder as your private workspace. The published page is what the world sees. When you are ready for your edits to go live, hit Publish and your visitors will see the latest version.
