Building Your Page

Last updated February 28, 2026

Use the visual builder to add blocks, customize your profile, and design your page.

The visual builder

The builder is where you design your Surface page. It is a drag-and-drop workspace that shows you exactly what your visitors will see. No code, no guesswork -- just pick, place, and customize.

Main areas

The builder is organized into three sections:

  • Profile header (top) -- your name, photo, and bio. This is the first thing visitors see, so make it count.
  • Blocks (middle) -- the core of your page. Each block holds a different type of content like a link, product, coupon, or email capture form.
  • Preview (right side) -- a live preview of your page as it will appear to visitors. Updates in real time as you make changes.

Add your first block

Click the + button to open the block picker. You will see the available block types -- links, products, coupons, and more. Select the one you want, and it will appear on your page ready for you to fill in the details.

Each block has its own settings. For a link block, you will enter a URL and a title. For a product block, you will add an image, price, and description. The builder guides you through each one.

Reorder blocks

Want to change the layout? Drag any block up or down to reorder it. Your page updates instantly in the preview so you can see exactly how the new arrangement looks.

Quick walkthrough

Here is how to build a simple page in a few steps:

  1. Set up your profile header. Add your name, upload a photo, and write a short bio.
  2. Add a link block. Click +, choose "Link," and paste in your most important URL.
  3. Add a second link block. Repeat the process for another link -- maybe your latest content or your shop.
  4. Rearrange if needed. Drag your blocks into the order you prefer.
  5. Check the preview. Look at the right side of the builder to confirm everything looks the way you want.

That is all it takes. You now have a page ready to publish.
