Billing and Plans

Available plans

Surface offers two plans to fit different needs:

Free

The Free plan gives you everything you need to build and publish a Surface page. You get access to the visual builder, a selection of blocks, built-in analytics, and your own public URL at surface.so/u/yourhandle. It is a great starting point and works well for most personal use cases.

Pro

The Pro plan unlocks advanced features for creators and businesses who want more control. Pro includes everything in Free, plus custom domains, priority support, and access to premium block types as they become available.

How to upgrade

To move from Free to Pro, open the settings area and go to the billing section. Select the Pro plan, enter your payment details, and your upgrade takes effect immediately. All Pro features become available right away.

How to downgrade

If you want to switch back to the Free plan, go to the billing section in settings and select the Free plan. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to Free. If you are using any Pro-only features like a custom domain, they will stop working once the downgrade takes effect.

Managing your subscription

The billing section links to a billing portal where you can:

• Update your payment method -- swap out a credit card or switch payment methods.
• View invoices -- download receipts for past payments.
• Cancel your subscription -- stop future charges and revert to the Free plan at the end of your billing period.

All billing is handled securely through our payment provider. Surface does not store your credit card details directly.
